Click here for flyer: Maggie's Attic at Tavares Flyer | March 29th - 30th 2008 - Sunnyland Chapter Antique & Classic Boat Festival The Antique Classic Boat Society SunnyLand Chapter is one of the largest ACBS chapters and due to its location in sunny Florida, is able to schedule events year round. Their Annual Antique and Classic Boat Festival held in late March (presented in Tavares, Florida at Wooton Park on Lake Dora) is one of the largest boat shows in the ACBS and draws people from all across the United States and Canada. This year as always the show drew thousands of people to Wooton Park next to the site of Tavares Station March 29th and 30th, 2008. With over 300 boats in the show, spectators got to view boats all the way back from the 1930's. The vast variety covered everything from amphibias cars to rum runner boats to antique hydra racing boats. The 2nd annual Classic Race Boat Regatta was a big hit in Tavares, Florida Spectators were able to watch everything from skiffs to hydraboats race on Beautiiful Lake Dora next to the site of Tavares Station. On saturday, April 5th, a fun time was had by all at the VIP Party held at Tavares Station's sales center. Great wines and beers were served by the girls from Maggie's Attic and authentic smoked chicken and shrimp by Matt from the new Whistle Stop Cafe. |   |

 | April 2, 2007 The Tavares Station beach front and Wooten Park was the site for The First Annual Bernie and Jane Little Memorial Classic Raceboat Regatta. Organized by the Classic Raceboat Association, this much anticipated event was a tremendous success. Five thousand local residents, and visitors from all over the world, spent a beautiful day in the park as they watched wonderfully restored antique racing boats fly by on the 1 ½ mile race course. Radio and TV crews were on hand to record the first of what will surely become one of the premiere classic race boat events in the Southeastern US. |
 The days' racing activities were capped off by a very tasteful Cocktail Party and Reception hosted by TAVARES STATION ON LAKE DORA. Racers and boat owners spent the evening swapping old boat stories, bidding on auctioned boat paraphernalia, enjoying sumptuous food, libations, and music while admiring the development plans that will transform this wonderful lake side setting into a thriving mixed use community.
